It is every person’s responsibility to sit and hone a skill, more appropriately one step at a time.
“Jack of all trades but master of none” we might have heard this line a lot of times and most of the people don’t even know whether this line is a sign of appreciation or insult. Today we are not here to discuss what this line is trying to convey but rather we are in for a much deeper reason. We might have come across a lot of people in our life who do all kinds of activities, they might sing, dance, draw and play and do all kinds of things in a single go but they might not be perfect even in a single one.
Every human has this tendency where they get interested in doing something new with their life so they decide to take up a new skill and once they have got the glimpses and vague idea what that skill is all about they might lose interest and start doing something new. They keep on jumping from learning one activity to another just like a monkey jumps from one tree to another. In the end, they might not know even a single skill well. Instead of trying all the activities and knowing them partially, it is always better to become perfect at least in one area. Also, there is the other kind of people who might be good at something, they might be a very good singer and if nurtured their ability to sing might reach heights but they wouldn’t be too bothered to do it. This mindset is nothing but a lost cause.
Selfcare- Hone a Skill
Take one skill that you are really interested in and start honing it to perfection. Develop that particular skill perfectly and hone it like a sharp blade that would cut any material in one swig. This is how you hone a skill. Instead of knowing a skill with limited knowledge, it is always better to be a master one skill.
Why Honing a Skill is Important?
In this fast pacing digital and technological world, one has to keep learning. You can be in any field. To sustain and survive you will have to be an active learner and keep up with the pace of the world.
Every single day, there is an update in the tech world and in the daily day-to-day chore we do. And it is very important to hone as many skills as possible. Make it a regular practice to learn something new every single day. Try to learn everything about it, master it instead of doing it half-heartedly.
This not only opens a new horizon of skill for you but also give opportunity to meet new people.
Hone a skill, one by one.
