Knowing yourself is the most important thing in life, if you want to achieve great things. Many of us would have been wondering why we couldn’t reach our goal and we might be wasting so many valuable hours on this worthless wondering itself. A step towards Selfcare is to know Yourself.
Selfcare- Know Yourself
If you want to achieve your goal or achieve great things, the first thing you will have to do is know yourself. Only when you know yourself, you will get to know your true worth. It is very natural for us to settle for mediocrity because we always treat ourselves like worms and second-rated. Secondly, if other people say that we are worthless we will wordlessly accept their verdict and start treating ourselves the same. We always seek other people’s opinions about us before asking ourselves and that’s where the true problem lies.
In order to stop doing that and know your true worth and for that you will have to know yourself.
Stop expecting for external praise and clapping. Seek them within.
There are easier ways in which you could get to know yourself and we will find out what they are.
First of all, pay some attention to yourself. Whatever you do in your life, don’t do it hastily. Just pause for a second and think why you are doing that particular thing and look for reasons because that will tell you a lot about yourself.
Everyone has an inner voice within themselves and successful people will always listen to that voice and act accordingly.
Look at the roles you play in your life and assess them. You might be a daughter, mother, wife, a professional and so.
Assess your values, your life goals, emotions and personality because these are the things that defines you.
Start writing a journal because you will be surprised how much your heart, mind and inner voice has got to say to you. It is very normal for people to ignore these and lead a life but it is definitely not worth it without knowing who you really are and what you badly crave for.
Listen to yourself and know the really you hiding behind your façade.
