The Prequel of “Along came the spyder” was my fastest read book. Read the review of The Itsy Bitsy Spyder, I had posted earlier. I was super duper excited to start reading the series and Apeksha was very kind to send me a signed copy of her book.

About Author: Apeksha Rao

Apeksha Rao is a multi-genre author from Bangalore. By profession, she is a homeopath and a writer by passion. She fell in love with words at a young age, she is fluent in six languages since the age of five. Apeksha comes from a family of doctors. In her early 30’s, she left her practice and moved to Bangalore. She explored the new city and was inspired to start a food blog, in addition to her already-popular fiction blog. Apeksha’s 1 book Along Came A Spyder, has not been printed due to covid-19. She has written many short stories in the same The Spyders .

Along Came the Spyder is her first published book from the The Spyders series.

At 17, Samira Joshi has only one dream in life.

She wants to be a spy- And why not ?

Spying runs in the Joshi genes. Her great-grandmother was famous for sticking her nose in everyone’s business. Her grandmother had a flourishing side-business of tracking down errant husbands and missing servants. Her parents are elite intelligence agents for RAW. Yet, they want their only daughter to become a doctor. When she sees a college friend being trapped by a pimp. Samira does some spying of her own and discovers the existence of a secret sisterhood of teen spies — The Spyders. And, she wants in!

The question is, do they want her?

Book Review

After reading Apeksha’s 1 book”Itsy Bitsy Spyder”, I was sure I wanted to read the entire series, and was super excited to recieve a signed copy of “Along Came A Spyder” from her.

Along Came a Spyder is an amusing journey of excitement, thrill, and humor of Samaira who makes you curious about her character. The book does not let you stop and take a break for a single moment and you are so engrossed that you want to keep on reading the book. Samaira Joshi always wanted to be a spy like her parents who are RAW agents. But suddenly her mother takes a u-turn and wants Samaira to be a doctor and forget about all the spycraft and her dreams of becoming a spy herself. The book is engaging and makes the reader finish it in one go. I love the quirkiness of the characters portrayed by the writer. Along Came A Spyder is a perfect mix of wittiness, emotional twists, thrill, and drama.
