I hope by now you guys would have fathomed how passionate I am about blogging and how important it is in my life and my being. In a way, blogging gives me a sense of purpose in my life and an enormous amount of satisfaction. Here I have a whole set of community with whom I have a tremendous bond that it almost feels like they are all part of my family despite the fact we haven’t seen each other in real life. Though I started out blogging as a hobby. What I understood over time was that I always have to be consistent.
Initially, I wrote whenever I have had something to share with the world but later when I gained a hand full of readers and followers, I felt like I had the responsibility of feeding them with regular and quality content. That’s when I came up with a schedule. I did not consider blogging as just another hobby that will vanish with time but rather I decided to fit it into my everyday routine.
To start with, I decided to post two posts in a week. The entire week I would think of a topic I wanted to talk about, I researched and brainstormed. I devote a considerable and fixed amount of time for writing the posts.
I mostly loved writing in the early mornings or in nights. So practically I wanted my environment to be silent and peaceful. Then I will schedule the posts and start thinking about the next week’s contents. The little amount of consistency actually increased the readership of my blog which was like a boost to my brain and I started being more consistent.
Readership did not increase drastically and not even overnight however, I decided to stick with my consistency. Because one, I was writing for my own satisfaction and secondly I know, if at least one person out there in the world could make use of my writing then that’s my reward. This consistency without expecting any return brought me results I had never anticipated.
I have never compromised on posting my blog posts no matter whatsoever. I’ll tell you how I cling on to my consistency like my total life depends on it. It does get a little stressful but then consistency plays a very satisfying role for me.
I plan my entire blogging agenda a month before. I have fixed days for publishing my blog posts and the content varies depending upon the day on which I’m posting it. So after planning it out, I simply start writing them beforehand and schedule the post and I’ll start worrying about my next month’s blog posts.
Why I follow this method
I want to be sure that I have contents ready for the near future and also being a month ahead will give me the confidence, drive and time to work on my articles more effectively.
For me I decided to stick with consistency because that’s what is going to help me out.
